A small group has been meeting weekly, mostly on Friday mornings, at the shed to gain new skills in metalworking.
We have been developing ideas for jewellery, garden accessories and items for the home using copper, aluminium and reclaimed tin. Not only are we working on our own projects, some that have been made recently are in the album Angela’s Projects, but also ones we can sell to raise funds for the shed.
So far we have coat-hanger lifters for short people or those in wheel chairs; metal plant labels with stamped lettering and wire supports for bushy herbaceous border plants.
Angela herself makes metal jewellery and sculpture to share her knowledge with the shedders. Visitors are welcome in her workshop sessions to find out more or start a project of their own.
